WHY I VIASAT IS THE NO1 IN GHANA

Viasat 1 is a Ghanaian television channel owned by the Swedish listed media group, Modern Times Group (MTG).
The channel was awarded a licence from the National Communications Authority of the Republic of Ghana in December 2007 and started broadcasting on December 12, 2008 on 6 p.m. The first programme on the channel was the movie Duma, followed by The Cosby Show, Friends and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Viasat 1 was MTG's first venture in Africa and became the fifth terrestrial television network in Ghana after GTV, Metro TV, TV3 and TV Africa.
Viasat came to came to Ghana and has changed television broadcasring in Ghana. with my favorite Tv SERIES FRIENDS, LAUGH A MINUTE HAGING OUT WITH MR COPPER,INSIDE THE MICHAEL JACKSON MANSION, EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS,  THE GAME, COSBY SHOW and many more duiring their first year. and for the Movies they are Just awesome. they i the reason i got to know JOHNNEY DEEP.

I remember we used to escape class hours just to watch storme over paradies and hidden passion. those ays are days one cant forget. teachers would punish you but you will still escape class  to watch viasat one programs. some times i come to school late because of movie at 10. i never missed it.
viasat 1 has really changed the way i think since they began airing in Ghana.
viasat1 and the this morning crew have showed me what no celebrity in Ghana have showed me. the welcome there shown me was like a long lost grandson meeting his favorite grandmother again. after taking pictures with PATRICE AND KOKUI. and posted it on facebook, my friends in tamale hail me like a king, and i have never regretted for a journey all the way from tamale to Accra just to see the crew and everyone working at viasat 1.

my favorite TINSEL, OPRAH SHOW AND THE LONGEST GENERATION SERIES WAS BORING BUT HEY IT WAS GOOD TOO. VIASAT INTRODUCE CSI SERIES TO GHANAIAN VIEWERS EVEN OLD LADIES LOVE TO WATCH CSI SERIES .THE ADVICE KOKUI HAS GIVEN ME IS MORE LIKE A MOTHER TO SON ADVICE BUT GUEST WHAT AM JUST HER FUN.
AND LESS THAN 8 YEARS IN GHANA THERE HAVE TAKEN AWARD ANY TV STATION WOULD HAVE DREAM OF WINNING
ALL THE PROGRAMMES AND TELENOVELERS FIND A WAY OF THE EVERYONE ON BOAD, BE IT A MARKET WOMAN OR A STAY AT HOME MOM. FOR THEIR NEWS HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING.

ANY ONE WHO WATCH NEWS BE IT EDUCATED OR NON EDUCATED WILL TELL YOU THAT VIASAT NEWS IS VERY EXCELLENT. THEY MAKE IT SHORT, INTERESTING AND UNDERSTANDING. HUSSEIN HASSAN AND SADIQ HAVE BEEN LIKE MY BROTHERS FROM ANOTHER MOTHER.

MOST OF MY FRIENDS THOUGHT I WAS WORKING AT VIASAT BECAUSE THEY WAY I TALK ABOUT THE STATION AND COMMENT ON THEIR PROGRAMMES . BUT AM JUST A FUN AND I WISH I COULD WORK THERE IN FUTURE BECAUSE THEY ARE NUMBER 1.

JULIET VRS GHANA MOVIE AWARDS ORGANIZERS

Ghanaian actress and film producer, Juliet Ibrahim has accused Ghallywood Production Limited, organisers of the annual Ghana Movie Awards of being biased.
The actress, producer, singer and humanitarian, in an interview accused organisers of the event of awarding the same individuals yearly.

According to the “Number 1 Fan” movie producer, there is no fairness in the awards. She added that nominations for some actors should be enough to make the individual happy because winning the award is not possible.

“When it comes to Ghana Movie awards, you can’t predict it. I always say the award is two people awards. You always know who will win what so then you should be happy when you are nominated because at least they have recognized you” she noted.

Juliet Ibrahim explaining why she was not nominated for Best Actress in Leading Role said “they fear me, they did not put me in Best Actress category because they know I will sweep that award so let somebody enjoy it

Born in accra several years ago, Kokui Selormey describes her self as a Ghanaian, inheriting a medley of Ewe, Fante and Ga parentage. She lived her life across three different continents, sharing her growth years between Ghana, England and USA. She said '' as a child i was very obedient, very studious; the worse thing for me as a child was for one of my parents or authority figure to say they were disappointed in me. I hated it !! But then, i guest i liked being a bit of a goody two shoes'' being a bit of a goody two shoes went a long way to help me focus on my passion and excel at it. Citi fm managing director Mr Amarteifio discovered me at a concert i performed (singing classical music) for an NGO. Says Kokui Selormey. Kokui Selormey hosted a classical music show on citi Fm, which airs on Sunday at 10am to 12pm. Anita Erskine tipped her information about Viasat 1 auditions for presenters to host a newMorning show. After two rounds of auditions she along side Patrice Amegashie were selected as hosts of THIS MORNING.
The show THIS MORNING has won many awards between 2013 to 14. At both RTPAWARDS and TELEVISION AWARDS. KOKUI SELORMEY SAYS '' STAY TRUE TO YOUR SELF. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEING AUTHENTIC. IF YOU TRY TO BE SOMETHING YOUR ARE NOT, EVENTUALLY YOU WILL BE FOUND OUT. YOU CAN ONLY KEEP UP A CHARADE FOR SO LONG. BE MORE GENUINE, BELIEVABLE AND RELATABLE. WORK HARD, DON'T BE AFRAID TO WORK HARD FOR SOMETHING YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE. DON'T COMPROMISE TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING PEOPLE CALL FAME OR STARDOM. WOULD YOU RATHER BE FAMOUS AND HAVE A TORRID HISTORY TO SHOW FOR IT? IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO PURSUE YOUR PATH AND TURN OVER A NEW LEAF. BE GOOD TO PEOPLE. TREAT PEOPLE WELL. NEVER FORGET THOSE WHO HELP YOU, EVEN PEOPLE YOU WORK WITH WHO ARE NASTY. JUST LET GO. COURTESY: Nana Kutin, Nana Akosua Hanson and Radio and Tv world
